Description

The latest eyecare technology, available at our San Diego practice located in La Jolla, has led to several advantages over more traditional means of eye surgery and eyewear. Glasses are now made lighter and thinner than ever. Contact lenses can treat astigmatism, high amounts of near sightedness and far sightedness, and include bi-focal contact lenses. Laser eye surgery now includes IntraLase® to replace LASIK, which creates the flap with a laser instead of a microkeratone blade.

With the latest technology available, we're now able to make glasses lighter and thinner than we ever have before. With contact lenses, we're now able to address different needs, such as astigmatism, high amounts of astigmatism, high amounts of near-sightedness and far-sightedness, as well as bifocal contact lenses. With laser eye surgery, we now perform the IntraLase, which is pretty much replacing LASIK. IntraLase allows us to create the flap using a laser, as opposed to the microkeratome blade, which is how LASIK is done.
